it's damn early, and damn dark... the rear worklights on the logrover and the 'mog are just picking out a dead elm in a roadside hedgerow

getting lighter as the notch is cut just before the gentle pull

next weekend, and no snow but frost - stayed below freezing all day

let the sawing and splitting commence (just forgot to take any more photos...)

back the next day for another couple of loads

back on the road after the gearbox re-rebuild - out trundling in the snow...

.. but ended up having to tow the postie a few miles as his clutch had died and the AA van couldn't tow him in the snow...

less than a week later, no snow and 13 degrees! felled a couple of dead elm and started splitting them up
