extracted an inlet valve for a check

cleaning out corroded water ways

and in the head

found this in the head water jacket - swarf!!

the swarf removed from the water channel in the head- aluminium - maybe from when the helicoils were fitted

home made valve removal tool...

one rather large G clamp and the tool

all valves out ok.

using the bench grinder to clean off the worst

before and after

lapping them in

use snall engraver to mark up parts

exhaust manifold off

some wear on cam but not too bad

exhaust valves coming out

magnet to catch collets

crusty valves

added a drain pipe for carbon dust

used a wire brush to clean up the carbon from around the exhaust valves

and an old hoover to extract it
